Injury Control

Sports medicine is key to the holistic health and fitness strategy of the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade. It focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating injuries from physical activities to improve soldiers' performance and well-being. This field includes physical therapy, nutrition, and rehabilitation, working together to enhance athletic ability and overall health. Sports medicine professionals help service members recover from injuries and offer advice on preventing future ones. By addressing both physical injuries and mental resilience, sports medicine boosts individual effectiveness in training and missions. This not only improves personal performance but also enhances the readiness of military forces, aligning with the H2F program's goals. Using sports medicine resources helps soldiers stay fit for their responsibilities, strengthening the entire unit's mission capability.

The injury control team at 10th CAB H2F is comprised of multiple diciplines of healthcare providers with the collective goal of keeping Soldiers mission capable.

  • Musculoskeletal rehabilitation aims to restore function and manage pain from injuries or issues with muscles, bones, and joints. It involves physical therapy, exercise programs, and education to improve mobility and strength. This process includes personalized assessments to identify individual needs and goals, followed by targeted treatments. The main goal is to help individuals safely return to daily activities or military duties while reducing the chance of re-injury. Incorporating holistic practices like good nutrition and mental health support can enhance recovery and boost overall performance. Effective musculoskeletal rehab not only improves physical health but also builds resilience and readiness in a military context.
